Meet the young entrepreneur who went from packing orders in his living room to selling 18M worth of indies a year.
Born in a Bondi Beach share house, Vanta Underwear is making waves in the underwear market with the "comfiest underwear known to man."
While delivering food for Deliveroo in 2018, Vanta founder Patrick Williams grew frustrated wearing underwear that would ride up, chafe, and cause discomfort.
So the Aussie entrepreneur got to work and designed a pair of undies featuring their trademark Kanga Pouch Technology.
In just 4 years, Patrick has gone from packing orders himself in his tiny living room to moving into a full scale fulfilment centre that churns out 500+ orders a day.
“The growth has been crazy, but it’s all down to the product,” Patrick said.
“Once men try on our underwear for the first time, it’s like a lightbulb goes off in their mind. That’s when they realise just how comfy our undies are.”
What started as humble beginnings is now turning into seriously big business, with VANTA on track to turnover $18m in revenue in 2023 alone.
Asked about what his plans for the future are, here’s what Patrick had to say…
“At the end of the day, I’m just having a good ol’ crack at it. I love what I do and truly believe in the product. We’ve got a long way to go, but I’ve got the big boys in my sight!”
